11 07 09 The Wedding of Kate and Brian Brookside Country Club Macungie PA Mulhenberg Chapel

Kate and Brian had such a lovely day and by the time we got to taking the portraits the light was perfect.

Kate started her day at her sister's home then it was off to the Chapel. Tracy helped assist this wedding and we got stuck in traffic getting to the chapel. It turns out they were giving out free flu vaccines at Dorney Park and the public came out in droves which caused the delays. Thank goodness for GPS in a time like that. Not that GPS has always worked out but I hit detour and it took me AROUND the traffic. In the past I have had it take me a few miles out and then back into traffic, but this time it worked and we got there with time to spare.

The couple's ceremony was at the Muhlenburg College chapel which was a gorgeous back drop to many of their photos. All of the portraits were taken right on the lawn and Kate and her college bridesmaids got together for a shot in front of the "nipple". Yes the wonderful things we think of at college.

After the photo session it was off to the Brookside Country Club in Macgunie. The manager, staff and food were all very good.

The couple are avid wine connoisseurs and they choose to tie in their love of wine with the wedding theme.

Each table was named after a type of wine and the place cards were held by wine corks.

I always enjoy when a couple includes a piece of them into their wedding.

After attending many weddings I still get teary eyed occasionally. In fact, I think everyone in attendance had a tear in their eye when Kate dedicated a surprise song to her new Hubbie. I didn't see a flash of a guests camera even go off after the first few seconds, which is AMAZING. It was a very touching moment and I am glad I was there to capture it.
