Megan and Michael's wedding was held on an rustic farm that now also functions as a romantic bed and breakfast. The surroundings were beautiful and the rooms were converted from old farm houses into luxurious suites. I even wanted to stay there for a few nights.
The couple chose to have a nice intimate wedding with close friends and family. Megan really put her personal touches into every aspect of the wedding which made it uniquely her own. The details and her artistic sense were everywhere.
The ceremony was held overlooking the hills surrounding the farm and was decorated with a rustic look that tied everything together. After the ceremony we did the family pictures and I asked the couple if we could come back out later in the afternoon to do their portraits. The sun was just to strong for producing great pictures. They happily obliged so we went back out for a few minutes when the light was fantastic. I am so happy when couples are willing to work with me for the best pictures.
Chris the maitre de was wonderful and he has been with the Glasbern for many years. His experience shows. The food was fabulous and I was fed a unique three course meal with a meaning behind each dish. Each meal was carefully prepared and made from organically grown products right from the farm. I considered this to be the best wedding meal of 2009 so far.
I highly recommend the Glasbern Inn for a small wedding or just a relaxing stay to get away from it all. They have a restaurant on site for their guest and for the quality it's affordable. The rooms are expensive but with the amenities in the room it's worth it!
