7 31 09 The Wedding of Becca and Barret at the Allaire Chapel and The Riverhouse Brielle, NJ

Becca and Barret were married at the famous Allaire Chapel and what a pleasure it was to work there. It was a very hot a humid day so the cold air conditioning in the church was so pleasant. The chapel was well lit and the park itself has many great photo opps, plenty of parking and the staff was friendly. The couple then chose to head to the beach since Becca grew up at the beach.

When I met the couple they were so shy an quiet but on their wedding day they became very outgoing and had no shyness at all. I talked to Becca's parents about what a joy she is to work with and they said they couldn't believe it was their daughter. She really just lived in the moment and had all the fun that she could. They even were brave enough to go out on the rocks on the beach for a few pictures. Of course a huge wave came crashing in and Becca just picked up her dress and screamed. It was a great moment to capture and she made it out just fine.

Which reminds me, the limo driver was Diane and she was excellent. She even had a sewing kit to help with a malfunction of the dress bustle. These bustle tend to break often. I guess not enough brides go back to their seamstress to complain. Reinforce it if you can, bring a sewing kit or hire Diane from Cat Limousine.

My husband came out to second shoot and I was able to take a few more different views of the wedding that I wouldn't normally try. One is of the couple exiting the church. It's back lit and so beautiful....... As always it's a pleasure to work with someone I know so well.

The weather cooperated just until we got to the cocktail hour and the flood gates opened. The sky before the storm was amazing and I snapped a few pics of the storm coming in.

The Riverhouse was a nice place for a wedding. I loved the atrium style ceiling which let so much natural light in and the views of the Manasquan River were beautiful.

You are right, somehow I forgot about being shy and just lived in the moment. Usually I am so much for self conscious than that. I didn't recognize myself Thank you a million times!
