Sarah and Jeremy were married on a beautiful 60 degree day on 12/27/08 in Cape May, NJ. I had the pleasure of staying down in Cape May for 3 days and enjoying the gorgeous weather and the quaint town. It's a beautiful town to visit anytime of the year and I want to go back already! We stayed at the La Mer hotel with a great view of the peaceful ocean and very clean rooms.
Their cute little church was only a block away from the down town area with quaint little shops and the horse and buggy rides. This wasn't in their plans though although I would have loved to capture the true spirit of Cape May in this well visited area.
Sarah was the first bride that I worked with who wouldn't let her dress touch the ground outside. I have worked with plenty of brides who are petrified of getting their dress dirty but the dress WILL get dirty no matter how careful you are. Usually the brides realize this at the reception. GO WILD and had HAVE FUN in it since you only get a few hours to enjoy it. Sarah had a stunning dress and I would have loved to capture a picture of the train laid out in the green grass or on the beach. It was a Alfred Angelo with the a red train which was perfect for Christmas.
Sarah and Jeremy are in the Navy so they had their wedding at the Coast Guard Base in Cape May. The bridal party was made up of very close friends and family and you could see how happy they were to see Sarah and Jeremy get married. Everyone flew in from all of the country and the world to see them tie the knot.
Oh and I can't forget Grandma. Sarah's Grandma was A TRUE GEM! She sewed all morning long make sure everyone looked great in their tuxedos and gowns. She also made the centerpieces and decorations for the wedding. Even their wedding cake was made by a family member.
